I'm not new to Livejournal, and not really to culture construction, but usually I construct languages. I've recently gotten into making cultures. The best way to explore something, I think is to make something fundamentally like it but as different as possible.

I'm not sure what I should say about myself. I guess that I have two cats, more conlangs than I can count and I'm sort of tossing some culture ideas around in my head at the moment.

Fantastic, another conlanger. As for having more conlangs than you can count, I think that that's a trait that most conlangers share. However, I'm an exception from that. I currently only have one conlang that I'm working on. So far I have enough info on the conlang to write a grammar book for beginners.

I think there's two types. Those who end up making a ton becuase he or she wants to keep this and scrap that, or those who simply keep reforming the same one over and over.

I'm not sure which way is better. I'm working on one for a conculture, for which I've made a very pretty script which is too convient to write in. Ah well, there's a reason people reform writing systems, so I'll use it for the "Old Script".
